School Site Councils were developed in response to California law which required them to allocate and monitor the school improvement grant, as well as to develop and oversee the school plan.
At Torrey Pines, the Site Council is also responsible for keeping abreast of legislative changes affecting education and advising the administration on important campus issues.
Parent elections are held annually at Back to School Night. However, you need not be an elected member to participate--anyone interested may attend Site Council meetings. For further information contact Assistant Principal Tracy Olander.
