Activities: Senior Week Passports go on sale at the student store after Spring Break. Passports are sold on a first-come-first-served basis. Senior ID Card, Permission Slip, and Release of Liability are required for purchase.
Senior Week Activities include:
  1. Dance at Party Pals (located in Sorrento Valley)
  2. Disneyland Trip (Day Trip)
  3. Pancake Breakfast (in front of gym)
  4. Roller Disco (Night Trip)
  5. Senior Picnic (after graduation rehearsal)
Prepaid yearbooks will be distributed on Saturday, May 30, 2020, in the E, G, and West Quad. Seniors only are from 10 am until 12 pm. Grades 11, 10 and 9 are from 12 pm to 2 pm. If you haven't purchased a book yet, visit the Student Store to make a purchase. Prices increase as the school year moves along, so stop in sooner than later to get the best pricing. 
SENIOR GRAD NIGHT: This is an all-night, chaperoned, alcohol and drug-free event held at Dave and Buster's in Mission Valley to ensure a safe environment in which our teens can celebrate their graduation. Grad Night will be held from 10:30 PM on Friday, June 12, 2020, through 5:30 AM on Saturday, June 13, 2020. Students will be transported to and from Torrey Pines High School via bus. Only registered students may attend. This is an event sponsored and ran by the Torrey Pines HS Foundation. Registration is open now! Get your tickets at an early discounted price by clicking HERE.
Senior Photos: Seniors must get their pictures taken with Keane Studios in order to appear in the yearbook.  This is free of charge and separate from your Senior Portraits.  Please contact to schedule an appointment.
Cap & Gown distribution will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2020, in the pavilion in the Quad from 10 am to 12 pm.

  • If you would like to order a loaner cap, gown, & tassel, please visit with the Student Store.
  • Students who bought their cap, gown & tassel may decorate their hats.  Remember, decorations must lay flat; there cannot be any height on top of the hat to avoid blocking another student from parents’ views. If there is height in the decoration, the student will be given a replacement hat at the staging gate.
Senior Check-Out: Students will pick up an official check-out card in the Quad from 7:15 - 8:00 am on Friday, June 5th and use it to check out of 1-3-5-7 classes.  Keep it in a safe place as you will need it again on Monday, June 8th to check out of  2-4-6 classes. Once completed, this card is returned to Counselors who indicate the student has met requirements for graduation. 
TPHS is seeking talented Seniors who wish to participate in this year's commencement ceremony. Applications for graduation speeches and performances will become available online and at the student store in May 2020. This is YOUR opportunity to shine.  Deadline to sign up is Friday, May 15, 2020.

If you are a Junior and are interested in being a part of the Junior Honor Court at this year's commencement ceremony, please pick up your application at the student store or download it here. Applications are due by May 4, 2020 at the student store.
Date: Friday, June 12, 2020

Time: The ceremony begins at 4:00 pm. The stadium will be open at 1:00 pm. Families will not be able to access the stadium prior to 1:00.  

Seniors:  Students will meet in the "B Building at 2:30 for check-in.  PLEASE NOTE:  cameras, backpacks or large purses, and/or any items that administration believes will distract from the ceremony will not be allowed into the stadium.  

Guests: Tickets are not required, but space is limited. We suggest no more than six guests per student attend the ceremony.  Please see an example of a seating map for more information. 
If you will be bringing a guest with communication disabilities who may need accommodations, please complete the accommodations request form and review our information regarding accommodations.  Please note this form is ONLY for those with a communication disability.  Please have this form submitted to the TP Administration office by Friday, May 26, 2020. 

Parking: There is limited parking in the student lots on the west side of the school. Families will not be able to park in the staff lots or anywhere near the stadium. Consider carpools and dropping students off who typically drive. 
For families needing assistance with reaching the stadium from the main parking lot, there will be a shuttle from the side road leading up to the stadium entrance gate for easy access to handicapped seating.  The shuttle will be equipped with a wheelchair lift.  For each handicapped person requiring a seat, one companion may sit with them.  The shuttle will be available from 2:30-4:00. Diplomas: All diplomas will be available after the ceremony.  Please look for the tables set up on the track.  If you are unable to pick up your diploma on graduation day, you will need to see the registrar during summer office hours.
