What is Career Technical Education or CTE?
A program of study that involves a multiyear sequence of courses that integrates core academic knowledge with technical and occupational knowledge to provide students with a pathway to postsecondary education and careers.
What happens when I complete a CTE pathway?
Students who complete a pathway through successful completion of coursework will be considered a competer of that pathway. Since there are various industry sectors and pathways, students may complete multiple pathways during their high school years. This is shows students have gained skills and maintain interest in fields of study as they look at post secondary education and/or joining the workforce.
