Absence Reporting
When reporting an absence, please do so at your earliest convenience to ensure timely processing. For any off-campus passes, parents and guardians need to notify the office 24 hours in advance in order for passes to be processed, printed, and ready for student pickup. If student pick-up is necessary with less than 24 hours notice, parents will need to come to the attendance office window on the south side of the B-building at the top of the stairs to check the student out of school.

There are two formats for reporting an absence to the Torrey Pines Attendance office.
1 - SEND AN EMAIL to tpattendance@sduhsd.net with the following information:
SUBJECT: Absence Reporting - (add student name)
In the body of the message, please include the following
STUDENT NAME:
STUDENT ID:
REASON FOR ABSENCE:
DATE OF ABSENCE:
PERIODS MISSED or TIME NEEDING TO LEAVE:
Please attach any documentation supporting your student's absence.
2 - PHONE CALL to the message line that includes the following information:
STUDENT NAME:
STUDENT ID:
REASON FOR ABSENCE:
DATE OF ABSENCE:
