Each year our students are involved in various assessments that are designed to support our school in ensuring we are meeting our goals as they relate to academics, social, and emotional development that is considered age-appropriate by experts in the field. For the list of the annual testing that is conducted and for more information, please see the Educational Services website for SDUHSD.

PSAT 2026

PSAT 2026

The College Board PSAT/NMSQT is an optional standardized test that provides practice for the SAT.  Please visit the College Board website for details on why students should consider the assessment, expectations, format, and more. 
 
SDUHSD will offer the digital PSAT/NMSQT only to 11th graders who opt in through the registration process. This is for students who are currently attending one of our high schools. 

Our plans for administration for the 2026-2027 school year are as follows:
 
  • Test Date: Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026
  • Time: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
  • Approximate Time: 2.5-hour exam 
  • Fee: $40
  • Locations: CCA, LCC, SDA, TP
 
*Students who may qualify for a fee reduction or waiver will enter their information when registering for the exam. Student information will be reviewed before the waiver is approved or denied. 
 
Registration Dates:
  • Begins: Wednesday, July 22, 2026
  • Ends: Wednesday, September 2, 2026
  • Late Registration Window: September 3 - 9
  • There is a late registration fee of $20.00.
 
** Registrations will not be accepted after September 9, 2026, for any reason. **

Registration Steps:
 
1. Visit the links below for Total Registration. Go there to log in or create an account using your personal email address and a password. Parents can add their email address later to ensure they receive communications from this platform. 
 
2. Complete the questionnaire for registration. 
3. Pay for the exam using the online payment system.
The PSAT/NMSQT® is the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test for only grade 11 students and is administered only once per year. For exam pricing, details and registration, visit http://aptsusa.com/sduhsd/psat/.

2026 AP EXAM IMPORTANT INFORMATION: 
 
1. Exams begin on Monday, May 4th. Click here for a schedule of exams.

AP Exam Registration for the optional AP Exams that will be administered in May 2026 opened on September 10th, 2025. 
Students currently taking AP courses who intend to take the optional AP exam in May, must complete the following two steps to fully register for exams:
1. Enter the join codes (provided by teachers) for their AP classes on the College Board website. 
2. Submit payment for exams on Total Registration by October 3rd, 2025 or a $50/exam late fee will be issued. The late payment window closes on October 12, 2025. 
This payment window is for all Year Long and Fall Semester AP Courses, which is nearly every AP course offered at TPHS.

REQUESTING ACCOMMODATIONS FOR TESTING
If a student has a 504 or IEP and would like accommodations from the College Board for the PSAT, SAT, or AP exams, or for the ACT, please fill out this Google Form to submit the request. These requests take up to two months to review, so please submit them early. The deadline to submit requests for accommodations on AP exams is January 12th, 2026.
